The truck industry is a strong, internationally-oriented sector, but with plenty of Dutch and German input. This is because trucks from DAF and Scania, as well as Mercedes and MAN, contain many components from Dutch and German sources. Suppliers for all major brands know how to find their way to NFB flawlessly.
Truck parts naturally have extremely high demands placed on them. Not only in terms of corrosion protection and durability, but also in terms of functionality, friction requirements, and finish. Think of chassis and cab parts, suspension components, brackets, frames, and functional parts in and around the drivetrain. We are approved for various OEMs and suppliers, meet their specific standards, and are IATF 16949-certified.
Materials
From steel and iron to aluminium, magnesium, and cast iron: we coat metal components for truck applications according to current OEM specifications. In doing so, we take into account the harsh operating conditions to which trucks are exposed, such as high loads, weather influences, and long service life requirements. Our expertise extends beyond just the big names; Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers also rely on our expertise and knowledge of standards.
Methods
For truck parts Cataphoresis (KTL/e-coat) a widely used and proven method. This technique ensures an even, high-quality primer layer with excellent corrosion protection, even on complex geometries. In combination with tri-cation zinc phosphating as a conversion layer, the stringent quality requirements of the sector are met.
If required, the KTL coating can be combined with an additional powder coating. Friction requirements often play a crucial role in this, for example with mounting surfaces, bolted connections, or sliding and contact surfaces. We carefully coordinate layer thickness, roughness, and coating structure to guarantee the specified friction coefficients, without compromising protection or lifespan.
Each product can be given a specific pre-treatment and coating process. The entire process is highly automated and is continuously monitored via process monitoring and experienced operators. This prevents deviations and ensures we deliver consistent, reproducible, and high-quality results.
