Some components need additional pre-treatment, such as materials with specific thicknesses, pipes, and products where the abrasive agent cannot reach all parts. By slightly rubbing down the surface, you get an excellent flat and smooth result which is the perfect undercoat for cataphoresis paints and powder coating.
The pickling process
Pickling is pre-treating the products with acid. The products usually hang on racks that are immersed in a bath in which the fluid circulates. We let them hang for a specific time, after which we rinse and passivate them in separate baths. A regular pre-treatment follows, applying KTL (e-coating) or powder coating in a muffle oven if needed to be supplemented with a powder coating treatment.
